AP stats ---this years and previous taker

hey, all out there who hae taken AP stats

My teacher told us to use "SOCS" for the descriptions. we're on page 20-26 of the practice of statsitics. It's not mentioned. And then she was like, good luck!!! I'm sure you can figure it out. And we were like !!???!

Just what is SOCS? what does it stand for? how do you use it?

I have never heard of it, and I took the class and got a 5 on the test, so I don't think it's that essential.

maybe she said SOCKS, the kind you wear on your feet :D

SOCS is for the descriptions...I know one means spread, the other means outlier...but what is it for????!!

symmetrical, outliers, center, spread maybe? thats probably right, in fact.

Everything was right... except the first S stands for Shape. And that's probably what you should do, we learned it like that too. But I took it two years ago and don't remember much.

:)

i never used anything called socks in stats. :S all i remember is.. if it's less than 5 percent, then it's significant or whatever. haha
