AP Stats Woes

I will be getting a C in AP Stats for my first semester of senior year. I am an RD applicant but I have all A's and only two B's (in Math, surprise surprise) in my transcript and I have various qualities/hooks Princeton might be interested in. I'm not going to waste your time on the circumstances or go on a rant about my teacher, but I do have a family issue that relates to that grade. Will explaining this and having an Assistant Principal who knows what type of student I am explain this situation help or hurt? Most importantly, will having a C in a subject I have no interest in extensively pursuing beyond high school put my application in the trash bin? Does anyone know of applicants who have been accepted with a C?

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Senioritis hit you pretty hard.

No, math has always been a struggle. I honestly have not felt much senioritis. I have all A's in all of my other classes, including three other AP classes.

Will this ruin my chances?

You have posted this same question on almost every Ivy board. Nobody can tell you how badly your C will hurt you. You already have a Stanford admission. Enjoy it.

im not trying to get into this too much...but you say that you have a family issue that relates to the C in stats. if the assistant principal does send in a note explaining this, will it only pertain to stats? you say you got A's in everything else, so does this issue only have to do with one class? the adcoms may see this as trying to find an excuse. i dont know your exact situation nor do i need to, but thats just my opinion.
