hello. i am currently a sophomore, and i was wondering whether i should take AP Statistics or not in senior year after I finish AP calculus in junior year. The problem though, it's not really AP Statistics. It's dual enrollment statistics, and the dual enrollment college is a private school. That means most colleges (including Georgia Institute of Technology) will not count it as an AP class, but just a regular statistics class. So I was wondering whether it was worth taking, because I could probably just skip a math class senior year to take another AP. However, I'm an engineering/math major, so I kind of wanted to take it anyways just so I can make a 5 on the AP exam. Should I take this class or not, and what would look better on an application?

If I were you I would take it. When I was in high school I took AP Computer Science but the school only offered the CompSci A test instead of CompSci AB. I got a 5 but it didn’t clear any requirements for me. I’m in community college at the moment and just took a computer science class to clear a pre-req and was so glad I took the AP test in high school because it made the class extremely easy.
