How easy is AP Stats? Can I juggle it with my other classes and still have free time and do good if I have never taken an AP?
My classes so far for next year are
HN English IV
AP Psychology
HN Anatomy
ADV Pre-Calculus(if I take AP Stats I might change to CP)
And other classes TBD
I personally really enjoyed AP Stats, since it was a completely new subject. If you like math/are pretty good at it, you will find it easy. I found it about as hard as honors precalculus.
I think you should take it!
Keep Advanced pre-calculus.
What are your other classes?
AP stats is ‘nice to have’ but not necessary in highschool (taking stats in college is almost always necessary so you can always take it in highschool to 'preview’the college c’ass, keeping in mind your college class is likely to e more rigorous.)
Do you have a foreign language up to level 3,4 or AP?
Having taken AP Statistics in high school, I will explain to you like this: AP Statistics is similar to AP Physics in a way that you should know which equation to use at a given scenario. Also, you should be able to justify why you are using that with concrete evidence and explanations (you have to write it out every time in Free Response Questions or you don’t get a credit). You will have to memorize a lot of equations, although calculators will be always with you; however, you should remember the formula of each because there are many MC questions that deal with and requires utilizing equations.
Yeah I’m taking CP Spanish III right now but only getting a 91 in the class because my teacher is a strict project grader and I don’t see a reason to take it next year
And I’m thinking about HN Holocaust
It is very interesting but there is a lot to memorize and a large workload

I took lots of AP courses including stats in my junior and senior year, it was not that challenging, I spent majority of my time on phone in school still managed high GPA and passed most AP tests. With that said though our school is pretty damn bad, it only offers AP because of a magnet school. Anyways, I would say stats is one of the easier AP courses, if you look to do business or psychology related majors then definitely take it. Don’t drop Pre-Cal though that’s important.
