Ap stats

Okay, so I'm going to be taking the AP STATS test soon, and I would like to know what past test takers think of the test. This test is actually the one i care about most out of the 3 i'm taking this year, since my teacher says she'll raise the grade of anyone who gets a 5 on the exam by a letter grade, and I have a B in her class lol. I asked people i know, and they said the test was easy, that they didn't study and still got 5's. I looked in the Barron's 2009 book yesterday though, and now I'm worried. The MC questions confuse me, and i never include all of the required info. for the free response questions when i do them for practice.
So yeah, how hard is the test in your opinion, did you study, how did you study, and what did you get?

I got a 5 on the Stats test. The test is relatively easy, but that’s probably because I’m a math person (test difficulty is relative to a person’s strength and weaknesses, like for me Eng Lang and French Lang were way hard)

I did go through the Barrons book and worked through all the MC questions in that book but didn’t even look at the FRQ in that book. Those FR questions are way harder than what you’ll actually see on the test. For FR just go to apcentral and download the questions and do them. When you’re doing the MC in the Barrons book, whenever you miss a question, read the answer explanation and make sure you understand why you missed that question. Also be aware that the MC in the Barrons book is slightly harder than the questions you’ll see on the test. Finally after reading through each chapter, working through the MCs in that book, and doing the free response questions from AP Central, I bought the released exams (97 and 02, I think there’s 07 now) and worked through them.

Thanks for the answer. I’m really glad that the FRQ are easier on the actual test
Boosts my confidence a bit lol

Does anybody have access to the AP Central Audit practice exam for AP Stats? I’m on spring break right now, and shortly after we get back, it’s time for AP testing, so not much time left to prepare.

Do this if you’re want a good grade but don’t really care about learning the material (i got a 5, but I’m definitely going to take the course again in college):

I read the ENTIRE Barron’s book the two nights before the test without much prior knowledge of the material (terrible teacher!). I did not do any practice problems but memorized how to do every single calculator trick on the test (know your normalpdfs, etc.). It’s extremely useful on the MC portion.

Also, curve is really nice. I’m pretty sure I got 1/4 of the test wrong.

But what do you all think of the Princeton Review Book??

And my teacher didn’t teach me all of the nuances. What are the most important little things (i.e. assumptions, types of tests, etc) that we should know for the exam?
