<p>So, I'm attending a new(as in, I'm going to be part of the first graduating class) school next year and I'm pretty sure they're not offering this class. It won't fit into my schedule anyhow. I was wondering if it were possible to "self study" and create a portfolio on my own time. If it is possible, is the fee the same?</p>

<p>yeah it’s definitely possible. i’m basically doing that. just get together 12 pieces that reflect a theme, like portraits of women, landscapes of my childhood, etc.
then 12 more unrelated pieces
and you’re done :D</p>
