AP studybooks

I'm planning on doing a few AP exams on my own. Does anyone know any good study-guides for any AP exams? I'm particularly interested in Psychology, Biology, Chemistry and Calculus AB and BC, but any info would be greatly appreciated. It would be great if you could say why you found the book helpful. Also, keep in mind that I will be studying completely on my own, without any teachers, so the book should start with the basics. Thanks a lot!

biology - if you use the campbell biology book, and actually even if you dont, i really recommend the student study guide. it has a summary of every chapter and really helpful study questions. the only bad thing about it is that it is about $50. a great review book is cliffs.

Thanks. I'm new to all this, so who published the student study guide? Is it by the collegeboard?

I second Cliffs and Campbells for biology. For psychology, I recommend buying barrons and really studying that.

no, its the campbell student study guide.

isbn 0805371559, by martha taylor.

Thank you so much! Since this will be my first AP exam, not to mention that I will be studying for it completely on my own, I don't want to go completely kamikaze and take AP chem. I think I'm gonna do AP psychology. I will keep the biology book in mind for when I take the AP in the future. Thanks so much!! I've heard that the Barron's psychology book is great for the AP from a bunch of people, so I will probably get that, but if you have any other recommendations, I would really appreciate them. Thanks again!

I just did some research of my own. There are 3 Barron's psychology books. One that was published in 2000, one that was published in December, 2005 and one thats coming out in February 2007. Which would you recommend? I think that the 2005 one is the best since it's the most recent, but maybe I should buy the 2005 and 2007 ones just to be extra prepared. Has anyone self-studied for AP psychology? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

bump......

Chemistry -- Peterson's, but you should probably find a good textbook too, like Zumdahl. You can get everything really cheap used.

How is PR with Zumdahl? That is what I have.

I have the textbook called Chemistry the central science AP edition. It is very good, but the practice questions can be quite challenging.
