Ap studying first time! Help!

Ok, so I've got all the review books and stuff. I dont know what to do though. Do I wait until the week before the exam and read the whole book, or should I do a little each day?

definitely do a little each day like let’s say you start on chapter 1 today…tomorrow quickly review chapter1 and then do chapter 2 and so on that way there’s more chance you’ll remember info. Good Luck!!!

I’m also a first-time AP student. But in any case, you should never wait until the last minute to do something. Cramming never works. Definitely try to do a little each day at least. You’re more likely to do better if you actually learn the information, not just memorize it. You will forget, almost certainly, so do a full review before the test, but you’ll retain more information if you’ve gotten at least a basic understanding of the information.

cramming works if you were well-prepared in class already. i took my first two ap tests last year as a sophomore (gov and calc ab) and i ended up studying for both the day before the exam. the night before ap gov was pretty horrible because i ended up sleeping by accident at 5 am while reading flash cards and my mom woke me up late so i had to rush to the testing site… i ended up being late anyways but I did fine on the ap because i recognized most of the stuff from studying in class. I only read about 1/4 of my prep book when i took ap gov and I got a 5.

and for Calc ab, i’m pretty sure the really nice curve saved me

BUT… you really shouldn’t cram. it doesn’t always work

This is what I live by haha
