Ap summer homework

How do ap teachers usually grade summer assignments? Really hard?

My ap euro homework was to take notes, answer some questions, and define and explain the significance of A LOT of terms.
I took really lengthy notes. Will the teacher actually grade the notes?

Thanks sooo much

Depends on the teacher…for APUSH, I wasted a ton of time outlining half a textbook only to find out the teacher simply wanted a few notes per chapter. If your AP Euro teacher is anywhere near as awesome as my APUSH teacher (she was the best!!!) s/he’ll probably see the hard work you put in and give you a 100 as well as more personal contact and a better relationship over the year

EDIT: Just to be clear, she DID grade the notes, although those who took more received perfect scores for the most part. Any extra work you put in over the summer will help you on the test

Usually, teachers just want to make sure that you’re doing some work, but it’s important that you do your summer work well, because the teachers build off of that.

It really depends on the teacher. Most of mine have really just wanted to see that I did it, and haven’t graded it at all.

It really depends on the teacher. I would ask people at your school who have had the same teacher previously. That’s generally what I do.

It depends on the teacher, obvi. You have to think of the point of some assignments as well. Notes may be graded less harshly or extremely harshly either because they just wanted you to learn the content or a certain way of gathering important information. It all depends on the teacher and their intentions.
