Hi everybody, I just found out that I got a 2 on the AP Language and Composition test. So my question is, what now? D I just not send in the score to colleges since it's not passing? Also, does it still look good to take the AP class if I got good grades even though I didn't pass the test?

Please let me know anything else you think I should know.

Thanks!

Were we supposed to get scores in the mail today?

Well I did so I’m guessing you will get it soon too.
So what do I do! Haha

colleges don’t really care. relax, one little two won’t kill you.

Well, guess what, a teacher in my school has a 20% pass rate, so that means 80% of his kids either get a 1 or a 2…

Okay so I just ignore it and don’t send it to colleges?

DS APUSH teacher has a 15% pass rate year after year. He is expecting a 2 as well. Don’t send them, and be prepared to take the beginning comp class in college if other testing or test scores don’t exempt you.

It looks like you either had a very poor teacher and/or grade inflation at your HS. That’s why they like to see people who take AP courses also take the test, the standardized test shows if you actually mastered the material.

A 2 puts you in a tough spot. It’s a low score which isn’t helpful, but not reporting also does not send a good signal.

You don’t have to send it. Heck you didn’t even have to take that exam, unless your high school required you to. There are lots of reasons why a student might have a course labeled AP on their high school transcript, but no reported AP exam score. Don’t worry about this one.
