I’m a rising junior and I took APUSH as my first AP this past year. I did great in the class, on the midterm, etc. finishing with an A-, but I just got my AP test score back and it’s a 3. Of course I passed but I’m still really upset. I choked on the DBQ and didn’t do so well on the FRQ.
My question is, how much will this affect me in the long run? I’m not too concerned about getting the college credit, but will college admissions look down upon this? Should I consider restudying and taking it next year? Any advice or knowledge will really help me right now
they don’t know if you don’t want to send it to them. Or at least, send it to schools that accept 3 for credits.
@long2181998 Will they notice that I took the AP class but didn’t report the AP exam score?
I didn’t do good on my apush exam so I was wondering if any of you knew if I take another AP exam like psychology would I be aping out of the same area?
You don’t have to submit AP scores. For most colleges the thing that matters is that you took a challenging course and passed.
College admissions will not look down upon a 3. If it was a 2 or 1, I’d be worried. Definitely report it–if you don’t, many admissions committees will assume you failed when you didn’t.
I didnt do so well on the Ap Chemistry and AP english lit exam. I was considering a rescore on both tests. If my score stays the same, should i still send them to colleges? I am not planning to major in any of those fields, do i still send in the scores or does it look bad if i dont send them in.
