if anyone else needs to get in touch, email the registrar

registrar@rice.edu

Yeah, just research their site a little bit
there is a LOT on there but if you dig you can find their AP/IB acceptance
they take 4’s and 5’s for AP credit
there’s even a list you can download of exactly how much credit they will give you for a 4 or 5

sorry, I didn’t even realize y’all weren’t talking about that anymore! haha

yeah, the problem is that AP US history sint showing up. and the official document (linked above ) says USH is accepted

ohhh, gotcha.

For those of you missing the AP US History credit this is the email I got today:
"I double checked your scores and we did receive the US History exam score.
I’m not sure why it didn’t load with the others. I’ve added the
corresponding credits for the US History exam. You should see the credit on
your unofficial transcript in ESTHER.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions about AP
credit or transfer credit.

Thanks,
Erin Jones "

So… I guess if you’re missing it just call/email them.

yeah I got the same email
so either email Erin Jones, or call
BUT CHECK YOUR TRANSCRIPTS =]

wait how do you know what you go on the AP? I have not received my grades yet

^nevermind I figured it out for myself. Damn I did not get credit for Calculus, did I do that poorly? :(

Hello everyone. I am Erin Jones from the Registrar’s Office at Rice.

We have discovered a problem with the AP process for the AP US History exam. Many of you have notified me that your US History credits did not get added to your record. We have found the problem and fixed it. I am in the process of re-loading all of the scores for incoming students. Please be patient as this will take a few days.

I ask that you wait until the beginning of next week if your AP US History credits are still not showing in ESTHER. It takes quite a bit of time to research each student individually and I have been bombarded with emails this week. Again, please have patience and wait until early next week to email me if your AP US History credits do not show up.

Please also keep in mind that we load scores at least once a week. It takes the College Board at least two weeks to send us the scores. Sometimes it can take much longer. Once the scores are here, they generally get loaded within one week. If you do not see your scores, the chances are that we do not have them. You will need to contact the College Board and request a new copy of your scorse be sent directly to us. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks again for your patience and thanks to those who notified us of the problem with the AP US History exam.

And if you know of other websites that incoming students are using, please pass this information along.

Thanks.

sure thing
thanks for working on the problem!

thank you for answering our questions Erin Jones… does this mean that not all our AP scores this year have been credited yet? As it takes 2 weeks for them to send it and it takes you 1 week to post it…
