I got back my scores last week...except for one..

SPANISH

two days later a letter comes saying that it is UNGRADEABLE because the tape can't be graded or that it may have been damaged.

***ZZ!?

has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Supposedly my test is now going to be graded based on the rest of the test. That is, my test pretty much counts only 50% and all the work I put in the class is gone in terms of the AP test.

You shouldn’t be. Unless you for some reason did drastically different on the rest of the test compared to your oral sample, your result likely won’t change.

I’ve heard of that happening to people and then they find section X and people who scored similarly to you and then just hook you up with their score

Well we realized my test was damaged right before turning them in… I had to get a new tape and record everything all over again… But i think collegeboard should give you the option of retaking the spoken part of the test

That happened to my friend a couple of years ago. They do not penalize you for a bad tape or give you no credit for the speaking part. They’ll grade your essay and MC and assign a grade based on only those two items. So, for example, my friend still scored a 5. Unless you were bad at reading, writing, and listening but great at speaking, your score shouldn’t really be affected.
