AP Tests + College Admissions

Do people typically send their AP grade reports before or after they have been accepted to a college? I screwed up badly on my first AP test because I didn't know what to expect.

Biology - 2, Calculus BC - 5, Chemistry - 5, US History - 5

How badly will this 2 affect my chances at top tier schools?

Also, if I am accepted to a school that does not accept AP credit, do the schools care if I opt not to take my senior AP tests?

You should send your AP Report after you are accepted and know which school you are going to. AP's don't really matter in admissions. If a school asks you to self-report AP scores, just don't put down the Biology score. The schools shouldn't care if you don't take senior AP tests, if they don't accept them. Good luck.

whitesox24, thanks a lot for the quick reply.

Would admissions officers suspect something if they see AP Biology on my transcript, but no self-reported score?

Probably not. Only some schools require students to actually take the test.

They will think either you did not take it, or you're hiding the score. However, in most cases, AP exams usually aren't an admissions factor and are merely for advanced placement or earning credit. You should check with the colleges you are applying to rather than asking for opinion.

Hey everybody, isn't there a new section on the Commpn App where you list AP scores? Was this on there before?
