I was accepted into UC Berkeley and told them that I would be taking 4 AP tests, but I’m not sure that I am going to pass them. Will Berkeley rescind me because of this? I’m super worried because I haven’t been able to find a clear answer to this!!!
You will not be rescinded if you do not take the tests that you said you would. You would only be rescinded if you wrote in your application that you received a particular score on a prior exam, when in reality you received a worse score or did not take the AP exam. Therefore, Berkeley asks all accepted students to send them all AP scores, so that they can check the scores against applications. Alternatively, you could be rescinded if you drop out of a course that you indicated that you are taking in your senior year. Therefore, no worries and enjoy your spring
Also, if you plan to use any of your AP exams to apply against required courses at Cal, you may not have that option if you don’t get the scores Cal requires to do so.
