Hi, is it possible to get your AP tests rescored? What is the charge for this? And is it worth it...meaning will your score go up from say a 3 to a 4?

Umm.. I don't think so. Although I think if you really really believe that a huge mistake was made, it seems like I've heard there's some way you can get it looked at again.

"And is it worth it...meaning will your score go up from say a 3 to a 4?"

Sure, if they misgraded your test, but that's not exactly common.

According to AP: Grade Reporting Services , you can have your multiple-choice rescored. It doesn't look like you can get the Free Response rescored. There is a $25 fee to get them to rescore the multiple choice.

I would say that if you really felt like you might have earned a 5 on that test, it might be worth considering get a 3 rescored. But since it's only the multiple choice, I'm not exactly sure how much a rescore might help you.

how likely is it that they'd give you a higher grade after rescoring it, if they gave you a 3 and you really thought u were gonna get a 5?

It really depends on whether an error in the original scoring existed.

I would guess not very likely, but I've seen stories on here where users have claimed that it has happened. If you believe those stories than it's not impossible.

The same thing happened to me. I thought I did really well on the AP USH exam, was thinking the least it could be was a 4, and I ended up getting a 3. I was completely shocked because that was the only exam I really felt good about. However, I assume that one of my essays was considered off topic or perhaps just recieved a really low score meaning having the multiple choice wouldn't really help.
