AP Tests VS. SAT Subject Tests

Hi! =) I just got my AP exam scores in the mail, and I didn't do so well on them.
I scored a 3 in AP English Comp and a 2 in APUSH. ...
I am really disappointed in myself, but can Subject tests, IN ANY WAY, help me out here?

Do colleges value the AP Tests moreover the Subject tests? Or are they valued equally?
I hope they are valued equally =(

By the way, I plan on taking the SAT Subject tests for English, Math2C, a language, and a science.

Even though AP Tests and Subject Tests are similar, colleges (from my experience) never ask for AP Test scores. Many top schools do, however, recommend that you send in Subject Test scores. AP Tests are generally used to get credit for college courses or test out of certain courses.

Really?! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

It is rather annoying colleges don’t value AP scores that much.

I guess in my case, since i scored so low, it’s a good thing that I have a chance to make things up. ): But, i dont know so much. Cause, i know that colleges will ask for the scores… wouldnt that affect my chances? cause i got a B+ in both classes too ):

Unless you designated schools to receive your scores when you took the test, they won’t see them unless you send them. And like I said, most, if not all, do not require that you send in AP Test scores. I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Just do better on the Subject Tests.

i think subject tests are looked at more. As others said, generally AP scores are used for placement not admissions,

Thanks a lot! =) I’ll study hard!
