<p>Okay, so...AP tests. I've looked at the course catalog, and the only AP classes I'm in this year are Calc AB and English Lit & Comp. That being said, I'm not very interested in placing into a higher sequence in either of these subjects. Since I listed the two tests on my application (as planning to be taken), is it necessary for me to take them? Are these grounds for being rescinded?</p>

<p>I am pretty sure that AP tests and results are not allowed to be part of the application decision. Taking AP/Honors/rigorous courses is an important criteria. AP results are not really supposed to be looked at during application review. WashU seems to offer little incentive in the way of credit for AP results so that says to me that they really want to encourage college students to take college classes at … college. Seems reasonable to me.</p>
<p>I would doubt it, too, but why not just call the admissions office and check? It does seem unlikely, especially since scores don’t come out until the summer. I think the more important thing is that you complete the classes on your transcript.</p>
