AP U.S. Government in 3 days?!

Hey ya’ll,
I’m sort of in a predicament right now; I am only half way through my AP government course (to the point where I’m learning about government institutions) and with all my other AP exams and school work, will not get done in time. I have the Saturday until Monday before the test to learn and review the rest of the material.

So, here’s the thing; is it possible to learn and review everything effectively with Princeton and REA crash course? I took AP US History and got a 4, have self studied before, and took an american law class (which dealt with a lot of amendments). Besides this, I’m not too politically savvy (word choice? XD) and not too into politics in general.

Thanks everyone, I’m aiming for a 4.

With your prior knowledge government institutions and domestic policy shouldn’t be difficult for you. But a good portion of the exam does test on politics. Just read the REA Crash Course book, I believe it was written by the author who wrote Direct Hits and 300 Essential SAT words so it is a very good book. One thing that is always on the exam is what age group votes the most and that is old people. Apart from that do old FRQs and practice tests. Good luck!

where are the old practice tests?

I know that the outline to the Wilson book is online somewhere giving overviews of every chapter. I’m going to read each of these since I’m in a similar predicament.

^that is the outlines. Could someone give me the exact link to the practice tests with answers on them. I don’t actually want to do them all, I would much rather have the answers already on them so I can learn from that.

I 100% self studied AP US Gov last year using the REA Crash. I procrastinated wicked badly and didn’t start until the night before around 8:30 PM. I still got a 5. You will be absolutely fine, I promise.

REA that magical??

What about Princeton Review?

I plan to read through Princeton once, Kaplan once, and Crash Course twice. I’m hoping for a 4, losing faith… that’s a lot of reading this weekend.

You’ll be fine. Just read through the princeton review. I’ve been finding it very helpful in studying for gov’t.

Here are some tests that might help you.

Good luck!

REA, is “that magical” Honestly, REA was written with the 3 or 4 released tests in hand, ensuring that everything was covered. If you have any knowledge in politics whatsoever, that will cover any gaps that REA crash course will miss.

My advice though, read over crash course once and highlight stuff you don’t quite understand. Look up what you don’t understand.

Take the three MC tests posted above, and go through at least 2006-2011 FRQ’s and you should be alright.

Is there a link to Crashcourse online?

I’m personally finding HippoCampus very, very helpful in reviewing all the materials. I’ve set myself on a five-day study course, starting on Thursday night, and plan to finish all the sections by Monday night.
