AP U.S. History

I'm taking AP Euro right now and I'm wondering if I should take AP U.S. next year. So far, Euro is pretty easy and I have a B right now. I'm not planning on majoring in history or anything. Is US a lot harder than Euro and is there a lot more content to cover?

You need to know how to write the essays and be able to memorize lots of stuff. I think USH has more information than Euro.

Its about the same. If you can do euro you can do APUSH.

the exam consists of 80 multiple choice and 3 essays.

USH isn’t hard. It’s just a whole lot of information. A LOT. I’m really glad I took the course, though. I learned so much about the country.

Its not alot of information if you know what the test is going to be about. Alot of these textbooks are not made for the APUSH exam so they give you alot of information that is entirely superfluous in regards to the exam. Which is one of the reasons why self-study is alot better than traditional classrooms, assuming the student is motivated. Thats why its important to use materials that is specifically designed for the exam.

I’m taking it this year [took world last year] and I find it more manageable. I didn’t like the jumping from one side of the world to the other last year :D

If you decide to take it, I heard the AMSCO book is the perfect way to get a 5.
