has anyone used the kaplan's book for the USH exam? i have the amsco book which i basically use instead of the fat textbook, and i wanted something else to supplement it. rea seems rather similar to amsco, so i wanted to get either princeton review or kaplan's.

I slept through my AP US History class last year and used the REA book to prep for 2 weeks before the test. I ended up with a 4 on the exam. I think I did well enough on the multiple choice section but I am a weak essay writer under time constraints and this is probably what kept me from getting a 5.

So, if the AMSCO is similar to the REA book you should be fine with just that. But I've heard from a friend that the "5 steps to a 5" is a good book as well.
