I took AP Biology and passed the AP test in highschool, which covers the IGETC biological science and lab requirement ...

Obviously, I have submitted my application already, but I'm a little paranoid about something. Other than reporting your AP scores, should I have written in the additional comments section that the reason I did not take a biological science (Area 5) course is because I passed the AP test?

I know I'm probably overly worried, but I was wondering what you all did in regards to reporting your AP scores? Just reported them in the AP score section, or did you also mention it in your additional comments section?

i had a problem with my igetc english requirements. one you can use ap credit for, and one you have to take in college. the app doesn’t recognize that ap units count for anything, so i didn’t know what to do about one of my courses (what to select on the app–there is no “ap credit” option). i called in and the guy said to just mark the no class thing and make a note in the additional comments.

then when i was trying to submit, the app was warning me because i didn’t meet 60 units. i have 26.67 (or something like that) ap credits that i’m using to meet the requirement and i know they’re valid, so i totally panicked. called in and the guy said to note that in the additional comments thing in the academic history–same place i made the english ap credit note.

so i reported and made notes in the additional comments section. the people i talked to said my problems were common so i GUESS they’ll be careful with the ap credit thing.

it’s just weird that the tag app had no problem recognizing ap credits but that the general app doesn’t. but yeah. i think you should be fine but if you’re really scared, you can always call in!

*fyi sorry if this is confusing. i’m all brain dead and i’m sure i’ll notice a zillion mistakes later when i can’t edit anymore ><

they’ll count for igetc. however, they may not count for pre-reqs as the standards for majors are much higher. even though you have igetc credit, you may have to tak a ‘3’ or ‘4’ class again for your major.
