AP US Books?

I was just wondering if anyone coudl recommend a book for AP US. Whichever book has the best overviews of periods and reviews of key terms. I heard good things about the REA book here, but I jsut want toa sk for myself. Also, do I need a separate book for SAT2 US?

Someone please?

REA...get that...why did you ask again if your question has been answered already?

Don't get a separate book. Take the SAT II US History the week of AP Exams. 800.

Ok thanks, just wanted to make sure

See this thread. I used the AMSCO book and it's an awesome review book

REA is great, but there's no substitute for continuous study and keeping up with the curriculum in class. I was fortunate to have an excellent APUSH teacher.

Hmmm so whats the vote, AMSCO or REA?

Both! REA is great for practice tests (6 with detailed explanations!), whereas AMSCO has ONE practice test, but doesn't even have answers! AMSCO, on the other hand, is amazing at breaking down large time periods and classifying everything in the most sensical manner possible. Studying from AMSCO is just as good as my textbook, and I prefer it so much more. AMSCO also has like 25 full sets of practice DBQ documents, if you want to work on your interpretation skills.

is it possible to learn everything in 2 months? i have rea but it seems very broad.

I took APUSH last year and used an excellent review book. I believe it was from REA, had a rainbow-colored cover.

Is that the AMSCO book you are talking about?

Yessir. That's the one.
