ap us gov and politics

So I was planning to take ap us gov/politics but found out dartmouth doesnt accept this. anyone else in the same situation?

I am. Test is Monday, and I'm taking both Gov't tests - pointless.

Why? Is there any advantage to taking the test-does dartmouth offer any elective credits or anything for them?

Stanford doesn't offer credit for Govt either; it's better received by public schools.

I think at this point in time, it's too late for me to pull out of the tests. I'm not well-informed of the policy... And of course, it doesn't help that my school's counselors don't do well to keep us informed either.

Also, I'm not sure how it is at most public high schools, but at mine, most AP teachers mandate that we take the AP Test for the course we are taking.

Last year at our HS, several of our top seniors opted skip the Govt test -- much to the chagrin of his Govt teacher -- since their chosen college would not recognize it.
