AP US Gov.- How was it?

oh wow. That's amazing.
I had laid-back teahcer in my three years of spanish, lol.
They just don't care.
paid for the review books==> unbelievable.

AP US Government and Politics was very easy. Multiple choice was a piece of cake, and free response was easy for the most part. Comparative Government was a different story.

i thought the MC was easy , and I knew almost all of them, but FR was harder than i expected esp 2 & 4 :( I had been expecting a 5.. but now Im thinking it might be a 4 (but still crossing my fingers for a 5!!)

My AP Gov teacher is the coolest. He was my APUSH teacher last year too, and almost every day for the past two years, he's flipped me off at least once :)
We studied at his house for like an hour and then the next hour and a half we burned stuff and roasted marshmallows and ate Smores.

infiniteabyss!! haha! i wrote a half page for # 3 too lol. it was REDONKULOUS.

p.s. I hope these aren't what the typical college test is like. that would el sucko mucho!

Hey whats the grading scale for this test? How many points did I need to get for a 4?

you need like a 68 for a 4...

i think i at least got a 4 and am hoping for the 5...we'll see
my response to 2 out of the 6 things they wanted in #2 was a bit shaky...otherwise the FRQs were easy. MC seemed very easy

I had to get clever on FR Question #3 on the last part.

Hmmm...its been 48 hours now...so safe to talk about FRQ, no?

yeahh!!!
what was that polygamy case about?

all i know is that it banned polygamy

do you think if i put the War Powers resolution gave the president authority to send military to a region for 90 days that it will count? because i remembered its 60 days but congress can extend it for 30 more days.

ok. so everyone's talking about how hard they thought the war powers resolution question was....but i think it was the easiest or second easiest question on the test (with the electoral college one being possibly easier).

anybody else feel the same way??

i totally bombed the court cases one though, so i guess my totally dominating the war powers resolution one will make up for totally screwing up there lol.

I thought it was the easiest too! Followed by the electoral then the other question that I can't remember and the court case one was impossible.

for the court case about drug use i put "Free Practice Clause" instead of "free exercise clause"
would i get it wrong?

Vicky Sky, I also wrote "free practice clause" instead of free exercise clause. I'm hoping that they will still accept that.

Overall, the FRQs were a lot easier than I thought they'd be. :] But I did have some trouble with the War Powers Resolution one..

What did you guys put for the second question.. when they asked how political institutions could avoid following Supreme Court decisions? I don't remember the exact wording.

It actually asked what other political branches could to bypass the decisions (the actual wording just skipped my mind). I mentioned passing an Amendment and not allocating funds. Can someone explain the third question? I put random things for A and C. I felt both answers worked. 3 was the one on military powers...

-The Military Coot66

i said that

*a lack of enforcement from the executive branch (which is charged with enacting and enforcing judicial decisions)
and
*the amendment of the constitution, initiated by congress (or the states should they call for a constitutional convention)

are two ways to limit the effect of supreme court rulings

For 2- "how political institutions could avoid following Supreme Court decisions"

I put that Congress can choose not to pass legislation that followed the rulings and that since Supreme Court has no implentation powers, the executive brach can choose to not create a bureacracy to follow the ruling and implement the rules to states.

Which part for the 3rd question coot66? I don't remember what A and C were.
