Do these questions require me to format them like an essay (introduction, body, conclusion, etc.)? If the question has a.) b.) c.), can I just directly answer the question by labeling my answers appropriately? In my Barron's review book, they don't write essays, but I've seen places where they compare it to an "ACT/SAT" essay, and I just wanted some verification because my preferred way of doing it is without structured essays.

You don’t need a formal essay. If you did, I think they’d give you more than 25 minutes a question.

No. My teacher said to just get straight to the answer. However, if you must add additional information relating to the subject, i don’t think that will hurt you. Go to A, and answer the questions, and so on. The sample responses on College Board usually have a FRQ response in the entire first page and half of the second.
