AP US History 1st DBQ Help

I have to write a dbq on the jacksonian democracy, the prompt is "discuss the impact of the Jacksonian Democracy in the following areas:

A. further advances in the political process by the “common man” and minorities
B. the economic stability of the nation
C. the status of the Union and sectionalism

For the prompt, I composed the following introduction, with the last sentence as the thesis:

The Jacksonian Democracy was known as the beginning of “The Age of the Common Man”. Although Andrew Jackson himself was no common man, he had mass appeal to the ordinary people. During Jackson’s time, American society was going through great change. Jackson was the first to respond to changes such as westward expansion and suffrage, or the ability to vote. Because of this, democracy had much political work to do. The Jacksonian Democracy impacted further advances in the the political process by the “common man” and minorities, the economic stability of of the nation, and the status of the Union and sectionalism.

I do not understand how to “take a position” in the thesis, and I also do not know if it is alright to use the exact wording of the prompt in the thesis. How do I do this?

Thesis---- One central broad arguable claim.

. further advances in the political process by the “common man” and minorities
B. the economic stability of the nation
C. the status of the Union and sectionalism

The Jacksonian Democracy… did not further advances in the political process… ruined the economic stability of the nation… and Furthered US sectionalism.

Those ^^ are claims.

The rest of your essay is written to prove those claims true.

Nice job on giving context though.
