AP US History and AP World History

Alrighty all people reading this. For anyone who is or has taken both AP US and AP World, which would you consider harder? My reason for asking is that I am currently taking AP US History and to me it is really hard. My senior year I have to choose between AP World, honors, or another AP of a different subject.Do you think the two AP's are similar? If I struggled in AP US will I struggle in AP World too? HELP please!

Hmm I should state the reason why I struggle in APUSH. I have trouble remebering all the chapter material for more than a week. I don't like all the reading we have to do and I find it pretty much my most boring class. This is however my first AP class. Maybe someone could give me some tips on holding onto info, dealing with the reading, and turning it into a fun class.

world history is really interesting. and the dbqs on the test is easier than apush

I know what you mean. Unless you are very interested in US History, it can be hard to concentrate. More so than AP World, which focuses on broader historical themes such as the Chinese dynasties and the spread of Islam, APUSH focuses more on cold, hard facts, such as certain landmark Supreme Court cases and the like. I guess at this point I would focus on the exam. Look into getting the AMSCO book for APUSH. I found it to be a great guide. Hope this helps!

APUSH is much harder without a doubt....

AP World is easier because it covers a broader timeline, so understanding key points (development of Bronze/rise of Islam) gives a clear picture as to what's happening.

US History on the other hand... is a detailed investigation into our nation's history...

Thanks you guys for taking the time to help me out. I'm still not one hundred percent sure rather or not I'm going for AP World yet but you guys have reassured me a little that it won't be a living hell like I thought it would.
