So what have your teachers predicted for this year's AP US HIstory DBQ essay question?

Vietnam, but I'm hoping for Jamestown (400 year anniversary)

Vietnam, or around 1968.

my teacher predicted antebellum civil war period or reconstruction

my teacher also predicted vietnam or reconstruction.

my teacher also predicted vietnam/ 1968+

my teacher, like several have already stated, also predicted around the Vietnam era

i have a feeling it's going to be after the Civil War. last year i took it and the topic was changing role of womanhood up to civil war. my teacher told me they alternate. and dont study based on what your teacher tells you. you never know, the dbq could cover a period as narrow as world war II (39-46 or sumthin) or as broad as last years (1776-1860). just be prepared.

civil war to reconstruction

Civil Rights might be a possibility too.

my teacher really feels its around the 1920s or the progressive era in general.

on wat basis do they predict.

my teacher predicts itll be somewhere between 1690-1990 ;-)

My teacher things it may be either imperialism or something on the gilded age....

Yeah..My teacher didn't say a thing. Really? that many teachers predicted the Vietnam period?

yea imperialism is such an important topic and hasn't been on the FR for more than 8 years

i dont think it will be vietnam...too much controversy over the subject.

theres a lot of controversy in history though. i dont think that its controversy will necessarily rule it out as a dbq.

jacksonian
progressive/populist
guilded age

yeah it could be the gilded age. i would hate that.
