So i took the ap exam last week. Overall, i used a mechanical pencil and a pen and white out for the exam. But my friends say that white out isn’t allowed on the essays. Will that get my test voided??? Also, what if my pencil wasn’t number 2? I thought it was but i can’t completely confirm it. But i know they work on scantrons in my school, so i thought it would be okay??? What if it isn’t? What will happen? I’m completely freaking out!! i don’t want my test to be voided :’(

According to this, your exam will probably be voided for ‘correction fluid’. I’m sorry. :(

but would it be okay if it was correction tape?? like white out tape (not white out liquid?)

I don’t know, but I assume not.

I’m in the same boat as you luv3lulu! I used whiteout tape on my essays…I’m freaking out now too…we’ll just have to see in July I guess if it was okay…

Why the hell would you use white-out on a freaking AP exam. You know there’s no penalty for just crossing it out or erasing?

Why didn’t the proctors stop you?

I know that some irregularities won’t affect the grading of your paper - e.g. if you had written in pencil.

I don’t know about correction fluid though.

The best thing to do is to see your guidance counselor or AP coordinator. Ask if correction fluid will affect the grading of your paper.
