AP US History Exam

What are some ways to prepare for the AP US History exam? Any helpful websites? Any super helpful study guide books?

Thanks!!

Get the AMSCO and Crash Course books.

Amsco, Princeton review, Barron’s, and believe it or not, sparknotes helps. (maybe more so for maths but it’s worth a try)

you want to get something a little more comprehensive than princeton review - check out this puppy

[Amazon.com: United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination (9781567656602): John J. Newman: Books](http://www.amazon.com/United-States-History-Preparing-Examination/dp/1567656609/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1298678805&sr=8-4)

the only downside, if i remember correctly, is that the practice tests don’t have an answer key? we had a class set of these books that you could check out. i bought this one used on amazon and it is very similar but there are more practice tests and they give you the answers

[Amazon.com: AP United States History (REA) - The Best Test Prep for the AP Exam: 7th Edition (Test Preps) (9780738602189): J. A. McDuffie, G. W. Piggrem, Steven E. Woodworth, Gregory Feldmeth: Books](http://www.amazon.com/AP-United-States-History-REA/dp/0738602183/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1298678805&sr=8-7)

Awesome suggestions. Thanks so much.

Also, I prepared for the DBQs last year using AP Central and the past free response questions. I timed myself, completed a DBQ/FRQ, and then graded myself using the scoring guidelines on the website.

I found this very helpful to prepare for the exam itself.

take the practice exams here: [- AP US History Practice Tests - AP US History Exam Review Course -](http://apexamreview.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=562&Itemid=70)

what better way to prepare than to take a simulation of the real exams!

[Units & homework](http://coffman.dublin.k12.oh.us/teachers/Teacherpages/Ewing%20Sam/AP_Studies/Units_%26_homework.html)

my us teacher’s website.

Has really good powerpoints for all the info.
Also get the rubric for the DBQs and memorize it so you know what the greaders are looking for.

REA has a great review book. I also liked the 5 steps 500 questions
