I go to a very small high school. So I only can choose ether AP US History or AP World History because, both classes happen at the same time. So which AP history class should I choose? Also which AP history class is easier to take? Thanks for the help.

I have heard that World History is easier than US, but personally, I would take US history as I think it is more beneficial. Good luck.

What is your previous course exposure in the history department at your school? Have you taken the honors versions of these courses already?

I just took regular courses at my school. Since my school is small, there is no history honors courses. In both my regular history courses, I received 90’s in the class. Also I received a 98 on the NYS US History regents and a 95 on the NYS World History regents.

Since you’ve taken the Regents equivalent of both classes, choose the one that interested you more.

Many people would tell you that World History is easier because it focuses on global concepts, as oppose to US History where specific events and period in which they occurred are more emphasized. Because you did so good on the NY US History Reagants, I would go with US History, unless you have a predilection for World History.
