I know it is a bit too early to think about AP tests, but this one is really worrying me. If there is anybody out there who took both the AP Euro and APUSH tests, could you please tell me which one is easier, the amount of studying you did for each, and any prep books you can recommend. I am aiming for another 5.

I did some search online for AP US history notes. Look under my profile to see extensive notes on every chapter of the book of "American Pageant."

For AP Euro I used REA and it overprepares you enough so that the actual exam seems like nothing. I started with REA for US too, but it gave too much totally irrelevant information so I got a princeton review one instead. I was more focused throughout the entire year in US so i didn't use it too much though. I think they are pretty easy exams, dbqs are so nice. It's easy to just bs if you don't know what you're doing- it's harder to do that on the calculus exam. I guess I thought US was easier, but they were pretty similar.

I thought that the AP USH exam was much easier than the Euro, especially in the multiple choice. I didn't study much by myself because I had an excellent teacher and we spent a week reviewing the material. (On the other hand, I had a crappy Euro teacher and I studied 2 hrs a night each day for a week leading up to the exam). The AMSCO is the best for American History.

Yesterday, I bought Kaplans and it seems pretty good.

everyone's always said euro was easier, since it doesn't go as in-depth as american history does.

my brother made a 5 on the AP euro test, which was the only AP class he took during high school and made absolutely horrible grades in every other class.
but maybe that's just him.

I got a 5 on the APUSH and a 4 on the Euro. I took the U.S. test in 10th grade and thought I had gotten a 3 when I was done. After I finished the Euro test, I thought I had nailed it and gotten a 5 for sure--go figure. As far as prep goes, I used the PR both years, but I must say that the reason I didn't get a 5 on the euro as well was because I didn't try as hard in class as I did in the US class. I used the "American Nation Online" for summaries and T/F multiple choice tests every chapter, and got near perfects (or perfects) on every test. I suggest using these online sources even if they're not for your textbook. I think McGraw Hill (publisher of "A History of the Modern World") has an online resource site, but I never used it. Hope this helps--USE ONLINE RESOURCES AND WORK HARD AND YOU WILL GET A 5 NO PROBLEM.

thanks for all the help...it helps!!

ecnerwalc- Wow, that site is awesome. Thanks.
