AP USH vs. AP Gov test

AP test sign ups are just around the corner, and I can't decide if I want to take the AP USH or AP Gov test. I've already taken the AP USH class, did well, but did mediocre on the SAT 2 test and signed up for AP Gov senior year. Is one easier than the other or more popular?

i took both classes and tests last year. studied, did well

they are not "easy" if you don't study and i'm not sure what you mean by popular. why would you take the AP Gov exam this year if you're taking the class next year? That makes no sense. It's not like you can pop open the "5 Steps to a 5 on the AP Gov Exam" the night before and do well. You really have to take the class for that

What I meant to say was that I need to decide whether or not I need to take APUSH test this May. That decision would affect whether or not I will take the APGov test next year. no APUSH= yes on APGov and vice versa. I will definitely not take the APGov test w/out taking the class. Sorry about the unclear wording.

why not take both tests?

^ yea i was just thinking that
colleges won't be able to see that you took the gov exam, but they'll see the apush exam...
and plus, why take the AP if you're not going to take the test?

I guess I'll probably take both then...any tips on studying for APUSH test? My class didn't prep us at all...half the class didn't know what a DBQ was and the only practice one we did was on the final.
