AP vs. AD courses

Hi, after surfing the boards and seeing people list their numerous APs, I have quick question.

My school doesn't offer a lot of courses that are designed to fit the AP exams (4 & AP studio art). However, it's right next to the University of Connecticut and so it offers a lot of advanced courses (100 level courses taught at the high school that give Uconn credit) and the opportunity to take classes on the Uconn campus.

I'm beginning to look at applying to college for next year and I was wondering how the Advanced/Uconn courses look to college admissions compared to APs.

I'll appreciate any feedback, thanks for taking the time to read this & respond!

You go to EO Smith? Cool, I'm at UConn right now.

I would assume that classes taken at the university look better than APs, since APs are meant to be like college courses; but you're actually taking college courses at a reputable university.

As for UConn Coop/ECE classes taught at the high school, these are probably viewed similarly to APs. My high school had a few UConn Coop classes, another friend's high school had some more; the only disadvantage to these is that you don't have an AP score to show for them, though you can probably take the corresponding AP test as well, since it should cover the same material as an AP class.
