At my school, dual enrollment is only offered senior year. AP is offered throughout all 4 years. I really wanted to take AP Stats, but it isn’t offered at school, although it is offered for dual enrollment at my local community college. My first question is would it be a good idea to take Prob and Stats dual enrollment along with Calculus my senior year? My second question is would colleges care that I didn’t take AP Stats (regardless of whether I could or not)?
AP statistics is roughly comparable in content to a non-calculus-based introductory statistics course in college.
An actual college course will give you a taste of how college courses are run. You will have to self-manage your work in class more than in a typical high school class.
I plan on majoring in Business Management and I have heard I should take Stats. I think that would be more beneficial to me. @ucbalumnus
Business majors typically have to take both calculus and statistics in college, although some schools may require a calculus-based statistics course.
i don’t see how a school can penalize you for not taking a class that isn’t even offered at your HS. take DE Stats and you will be fine
If you can take Stats thru DE, and AP Calc AB that may get you credit for those 2 classes at many undergraduate business programs. Good luck.
