AP vs SAT II Prep Books

Hey everyone! So I've gotten to that wonderful stage of high school that I'm sure we all look forward to when we start taking subject tests (hooray!)

Anyways, enough sarcasm. I was wondering if there is a significant difference between AP and SAT subject test prep books of the same subject. I've already taken Math II and plan on taking the subject test for US History and either chemistry or physics. In the case of the first two, I'll be taking APUSH and AP Chem before the subject test and will have the prep books for the AP classes. So is there really a point to getting a subject test prep book or will the AP book suffice?

Thanks in advance!

I’d say in general the AP test goes more in depth and breadth than the SAT subject test.

If you’ve prepared well for the AP test you should be relatively prepared for the subject tests. A big difference is just the structure of questions. I would go through a few practice tests for the respective subject tests you are taking, and based on those diagnostics, go through SAT subject test books if necessary.

Awesome, thanks! Would you say the best place to get subject practice tests is to get the CB book with a practice test for each subject? Or I guess borrowing it from a library rather than buying it.
