AP vs. US History SAT II

In addition to the other post which compares scores (my child was one whose score was pretty crazy…750 SAT II and a 3 on A/P exam…with ALL other SATs 700-780, and her other AP was a 5).

So…also think about how many people and WHO take each exam. The A/P is one of the most heavily taken exams. Schools push it. Mediocre students take it and drive the overall score down. But the SAT II is NORMALLY taken by more elite students. So the curve will be higher, harder to get a high score on the SAT II (I know, that contradicts my D’s experience, but…what can I say? She’s a rebel).
