I have the history AP exam in 33 days. I have struggled immensely in the class and can never absorb the information. I just bought Barron's book today. This is my first my AP test and I NEED to get a 4. Someone told me if I keep hammering all of the multiple choice questions in Barron's book and memorize them I'll get a good grade on the multiple choice portion. Is that true? Will memorizing Barron's book alone help me get a 4? And what information besides the book should I study? I need all the help I can get!

Get the crash course book :)

ya I recommend the crash course
I did barons when I was a freshman and got a 3 on the exam >.>

I really recommend you focusing on the essays because it is weighted a lot. Look up on college board samples and see student responses and what scores they got

Don’t try memorizing facts alone! If you have at least any background knowledge it is easy to make assumptions. And there’s no penalty for wrong answers, so it is worth guessing on ‘some’ multiple choices.

Make sure you know LOTS of topics. Especially what caused them and how they affected the world. The FRQs are usually just compare and effect or cause and effect. Be able to relate everything together :)

Make sure you use your Barron’s book! There should be a few practice exams in there. Time yourself and pretend like it’s the actual AP exam. There are also questions from past exams on College Board’s website. You’ll need these for the FRQs.

Well, I wish you the best of luck! :D

Make sure you can make connections and do lots of practice test. Try a website called get a 5 it has some good practice test and quick summary videos
