Hey my teacher said to get like a 2004-2005 edition of the ap world book, but I bought my book before she said that and got just the Barron's AP World History and it has no edition on it.... does that mean the test has changed and so my book is irrelevent?

No, its not necessarily that the test has changed (although it may have), but your teacher might prefer a certain book for whatever reason.

There are two APWH teachers in my school. One of them prefers Barons, the other prefers the Kaplan AP Success one. Theres also the Princeton Review one.

To be frank with you, I bought all three. The Princeton Review one is easy to read..even humorous at times. Its much more light reading, and great to read right before a test when you're burnt out from cramming. However, the AP Success book has these really great charts in them that cram chapters and chapters of info right onto two pages. Very concise, very easy to read.

I like having all three, to make sure i get enough information. Each review book highlights different aspects, and having three different ones is a good way to find out whats really essential as well as maybe getting a few things you hadn't caught the first time through.

All this is of course in addition to reading the book. If you're using the "World Civilizations - the Global Experience" book (which I am), also make sure to check out the companion study guides at http://www.ablongman.com/stearns
