On the rubiric, it says 2 pts for evidence, but do we have to quote every document to get these points? It’s 1 point for using all of them, and 1 point for quoting? and 1 point for understanding, which is another criteria?

I don’t think that’s the rubric at all.

Core:
Has acceptable thesis.
Understands the basic meaning of documents. (May misinterpret one document.
Supports thesis with appropriate evidence from all or all but one document. 2 Points
Analyzes point of view in at least two documents.
Analyzes documents by grouping them in three ways.
Identifies and explains the need for one type of appropriate additional
document or source.
LOL I just remembered that I also used to write so much about why every document pretty much was unreliable and always asked for like 5000000 extra documents…
The number of groupings mentioned above was specific to the 2010 rubric which i used as a reference.

For extra 2 points I always gave POV for each document (not time consuming if you plan well), added extra historical info, and analyzed causes/significance across regions and the effects on future time periods

I used to do all the POV and additional doc for every document but that was very time consuming and I don’t think I could justify all the POVs I said it’s upper class but idk how to justify? I also meant for evidence from all documents 2 points do I have to quote to count a’s evidence in all the documents?

Anyone have any tips for justifying why every document is unreliable? Would you have to analyze ALL the POVs for the expanded point, or is like 4-5 enough?

^I think the optimal method would be to GROUP the docs BASED ON POV and then explain the POV of the group.

Also, you only need to suggest ONE additional document.

If I wanted to introduce historical evidence not in the documents, should I just use, “This was NOT mentioned in the documents, but also occurred during this time?”

Make sure your outside historical info is tangential upon the documents provided. i.e. if it shows the battle of waterloo you can add in things such as the date (if it wasn’t given), but that’s a basic example… it’s midnight, gimme a break!!

I figures I’d also ask on this thread, should I go through my anaconda prep book for stats too? I have 4 more topics in barron’s and or for ap world.

What counts As summarizing on the dbq? Wouldn’t you have to say what’s in te document to show your understanding?

*amsco for stats I meant
