AP World History Exam vs. SAT Subject Test

I am going to take the AP World History Exam this May, and I wanted to know if the exam is similar to the World History SAT Subject Test. If so, do I even have to study for the Subject Test if I am already studying for the AP Exam? Is the same material on the AP Exam covered on the Subject Test?

I'm wondering the same exact thing.

lol. I want to know, but no one is responding. Anyone?

The questions are just about the same (trend questions, political cartoons, etc...). However, you're going to have to work pretty quickly on the SAT II since there's 95 questions in 1 hour. Therefore, really it's all the same history that's being tested. Just make sure that you're fast (well depending on what score you want), and pace yourself.

Note: I did find that the questions on the SAT II seemed easier than those on the AP, but maybe this was because I took the SAT II after the AP.

So I could just study my AP World History exam notes and it would cover all of the material on the subject test?

Pretty much yes, it's the same history (unless history is ambiguous like in 1984), but learn to be quick to access the history stored in your brain.

If you knew your stuff for AP WH, then you'd be fine for SAT II WH. I didn't even need to open my AP WH book, let alone study with an SAT II book, for my SAT II WH. Got 800.

Typically, the AP exam is harder than the SAT II.

Of course, there are probably some exceptions.

I took an AP Euro class and got an 800 on the SAT II for World History. Just read the SAT II review books ALOT.

My SAT Subject Test for world history IS TOMORROW. I’m like freaking out. I already studied a lot for the World History AP Exam that i took about 3 weeks ago. I havent studied whatsoever for the SAT Subject Test because I didn’t feel the need to (I loved my World History AP Class, so I’m confident in myself) but now I’m freaking out.
But there are sample questions on collegeboard that i took and they were pretty easy.

how did it go?

@ifairyu How was it?

@ifairyu is long gone, so an answer will not be forthcoming. Old threads should be used for research, but should not be resurrected. Closing.
