Hello all,

This is my first year taking AP tests, and I'm freaking out about World History AP. I'm doing very well in my class, but taking a few practice multiple choice tests on Princeton Review has given me a sharp slap on the face. I'm fine with the essay portion of the AP test, but for some reason I am doing extremely horribly on the multiple choice section, getting 30s and 40s on them without the guessing penalty. I'd much appreciate it if any of you can give me advice on improving my multiple choice score, because right now this is the part that's preventing me from getting a 4 or 5.

Thanks very much for your time!

World History was my first exam, 4 years ago. On our very first test, I was destroyed. But I got better and better through the year and by the end, I could score high 90’s on any test. Then we had our practice exam, which was the 2002 exam. And I answered about 48/70 correct. I was shocked. But I made sure to read through both Barrons and Princeton Review. That turned out to be only AP test I never omitted a question on, and I have a feeling I answered well over 60/70 correct. Read through review books thoroughly. The more “stuff” you know, the more connections and links you can draw, which allow you to answer an even larger class of questions.

Thanks very much for your advice! Hopefully through reading the Princeton Review again and leafing through the Barrons flashcards I’ll be able to gather more info.
