Pl guide how to prepare well for AP world history and best methodology?
Any tips welcome please
ok so I got a 5 last year on the test and it’s actually a completely different test now, but what helped me was several weeks before the exam, I began watching the anthology of John Green’s Crash Course World History Videos. This is a good way to grasp info if you’re not really history minded. Also, put a lot of focus into the DBQ; get a strategy together for how to write it; I always thought it was easier to analyze the docs first and then write the essay.
I didn’t study outside of class all year, skipped the day before the exam, and watched a ton of crash course and got a 3. If it hadn’t been for john green I wouldn’t have known one of my essay topics and would have probably gotten a 2. Another thing I find is helpful and makes it seem less daunting is the AP flash cards, which may help on the AP section. Honestly, I’ve found the best way to approach AP classes is to read the book and understand it before moving on to the next page. If you really dedicate yourself to it, you could read the entire textbook in a week if you wanted to. It sounds harder than it really is - I read half my apush book in 4 days and it’s been helping me so much this year :-). Good luck!
