AP World History

If I got a 700 on the Sat II World History subject test, what should I expect on the AP World exam?

Is a 3 too low?

A 3 on an AP WH exam is pretty good, especially if it’s your first AP exam. There are quite a few colleges that give credit for 3s. I got a 3 on the AP WH Exam as well, and the college that I’m interested in (Virginia Tech) gives credit for 3s.

Are you planning to take AP World next year? If so you could easily get a 5 with a bit of studying. I found AP World much easier than the SAT II simply because AP is more broad while SAT II has ALOT of questions about crazy facts–you could never prepare yourself for everyone of those questions.

No I already took the test…somehow got a 3 on it

Are the two tests very similar in skill set or content? If so, a 700 is only in the 70th percentile of world history subject test takers, so a 3 may not be uncalled for. Even if you did good on one test, that does not guarantee doing good on the other test. The AP World History test has FRQs as well as multiple choice, unlike its subject test counterpart.
