Apartment for the Summer?

I'm looking for an apartment for the summer to establish in-state residency at Mizzou. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for places that aren't too expensive. I've heard of Campus View but not much else. Also, do any apartments even have leases that short? I will be living in a sorority house during the semester, so this will need to be just for the summer months!

Thanks!

What you’re going to want to do is find a sub lease for the summer. Not sure if there is a website or something to look at to find them easily, but I know from time to time you will see banners around with pull off tabs talking about subleases.

One thing you could do, is just get a year lease and just live there during the school year as well. Apartment living is much better than dorm living imo, so I think that is the best path to go.

I’ll be interested in hearing how this works out for you. My daughter will be doing this summer 2011.

if you are looking for a sub lease for the summer then craigslist would be your best bet.

Question? When you sublease, is your name put on the lease?

One of the requirements for residency is that your name is on the lease for the summer.
