Apartment hunting

My roommate and I have decided not to live on campus next year and move into the apartments. We're willing to spend ~$700/month each on a one bedroom apartment. Which apartments do you recommend looking at in that price range?

For those who live in a one bedroom apartment now, where and how much is the place you're staying at?

So I’ve been looking around and it seems like a lot are about ~$1800. That seems a little too pricey? Are most one bedrooms going to be that expensive?

well you have to take into account that in 2 bdrm apartments 4 people share a living room while 1bdrm apts 2 people share the similar sized living room so thats where a lot of the cost is coming from…

My daughter and her current dorm roommate have rented an apt for the next school year and I believe their rent is about $1800-$1900 a month but comes with 2 parking spaces. That seemed to be the going rate. They have a one bedroom, with gated entrance and a pool. They will share the bedroom. I am not sure of the exact address but I think it is on Galey or Kelton. It will be still be cheaper than living on campus since they had been assigned a suite which would have been over $13,000 a year for us with the meal plan. They are looking to sublet their apt. for June, July and August if you or anyone you know would be interested let me know. Good luck on your search.
