Hey y’all, I’ve read a few threads on here asking the same question, but I guess different situations have different answers. I plan on going to UF (hopefully) and I’m still debating whether or not living in a dorm is for me. I love meeting new people, but I’m extremely picky, organized, and clean and like having some privacy. I’m not like a crazy party person but I like to go out every once in a while. I plan on rushing, so I don’t think that the whole socializing aspect of it all will be too much of a problem if I decide to live in an apartment. I just wanted to see what some of you think would be best and just hear from someone with experience.

I am going to be attending UF for the first time for Summer B (starting July 2nd). I have gone to Gainesville dozens of times by myself and with friends, looking at apartments. I chose to live in an apartment because I have good friends who live in dorms at UF who simply hate it. One friend even gave me a tour of his dorm. It was the size of a large walk-in closet and he shared the room with two other guys. There was no room, there was no privacy, nothing. I made my final decision at that time. I am also a clean, private type of person. I like to go out and have fun as well, but not all the time. I found the PERFECT apartment for me. By perfect, I mean size, price range, amenities, and everything. If you’d like to know more about it, message me and I’ll be glad to give you some tips and let you know what apartments I’m talking about. I’m going up to Gainesville next weekend to sign the lease!! So excited to be moving in June!! Good luck!
