Apartments In Central LA

Yeah I read bad things about Park La Brea but there are like 100 other apartment complexes in that same block so I figure I'll look at a few places when I go to LA for orientation next week...

The actual Park La Brea apartments are overpriced. Try looking at the apartments a few blocks southeast and I'm sure you'll find better deals. That is a nice area/location to be.

If you would actually prefer to live ~20 minutes off campus, take a look at Del Mar Ave. in Pasadena. It's only 2-4 blocks from Old Pasadena, The Paseo and South Lake Ave. Old Pasadena in particular is very cool. If you want to live close to campus, but can't find a decent apt., consider rushing a sorority. They have very nice houses right in the center of the social scene and walking distance to campus.
