Be honest.

How hard would it be for me to find a one bedroom or efficiency that wouldn't break my bank account in Tallahassee? (I have 2 cats but if they can't come, then they can't come :( C'est la vie)

I'll live with a roommate if I absolutely positively have no other choice other than living in a box. What can I say, I'm a spoiled only child who likes her space :-P I'm not a big dormer either, but again: if I have to, I have to.

I'd just like to see what my options are first.

Thank you muchly! It's very appreciated :-D

Lots of places to look at but you'll need to do the groundwork to find one you'll like. There's no easy answer to questions like this since so much is determined by personal preference.

Thanks parent2noles. I figured I'd have a lot of work cut out for me :-X I'm too damn stubborn :-P

How much are you looking to spend monthly?

Um...Anything under/up to 800?

There is a nice little complex on Woodward Street, just north of Tennessee Street called "The Chateau." It's basically 1/2 block to campus to the main gate at Woodward & Tennessee.

It was renovated within the last 5 years and has about 40 units, all of which are 1 bedrooms. It has a pool and some other smaller amenities as well. It sounds like a good fit for what you need, but I'd call immediately, as it's getting late in the game. If that one if full or isn't a good fit. let me know and I'll try to think of some others.

Here's an ad I found on Craig's List with a picture:

Looks like cats are OK, too!

Thanks so much Tampa Nole!
Unfortunately, I'm not transferring out until May of next year, but I will keep that place and the craigslist in the back of my mind.

I see you're from Tampa :) I used to live there. How do you like Tallahassee and FSU?

I'm sure they'll still be there when you transfer!

Well, I'm a '95 FSU grad, so it's been a while, but I absolutely loved it there and you will, too.
